investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica est\u00e1 ligada al uso de instrumentos de recolecci\u00f3n de datos, sean estos cualitativos o cuantitativos, y por ello es necesario dise\u00f1ar instrumentos para tal fin. Solo un buen dise\u00f1o nos\u00a0garantiza una correcta obtenci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n. Los instrumentos deben someterse a un proceso para comprobar qu\u00e9 tan v\u00e1lidos, confiables y objetivos son. Si bien la validez y la confiabilidad son temas\u00a0que se han abordado ampliamente, es com\u00fan encontrar investigaciones cuyos instrumentos de recolecci\u00f3n no fueron sometidos a este proceso. La medici\u00f3n en la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica est\u00e1 relacionada con el manejo de datos, los cuales son la materia prima esencial para describir el fen\u00f3meno que se est\u00e1 estudiando y, a partir de su comprensi\u00f3n, tomar decisiones. Entonces: datos + instrumentos = \u00e9xito de una investigaci\u00f3n, o al menos disminuci\u00f3n de la cantidad de errores posibles. Este trabajo contribuye a reforzar el proceso que se debe seguir para alcanzar la validez, la confiabilidad y la objetividad de un instrumento utilizado en una investigaci\u00f3n design instruments for this purpose. Only a good design guarantees the correct collection of information. The instruments must undergo a process to check how valid, reliable<br \/>and objective they are in order to be used. Although validity and reliability are topics that have been widely addressed, it is common to find research whose collection instruments were not subjected to this process. Measurement in scientific research is related to data management, which is the essential raw<br \/>material to describe a phenomenon. So: data + instruments = research success, or at least a reduction in the number of possible errors.
